Search for the Good

Everyone has those days that are simply terrible. You know what I mean. You just can't seem to feel happy, you are simply trying to stay afloat. You feel alone, isolated, and honestly just don't want to do anything! Lol.

But I'm here to say that you can dig yourself out of that hole if you want to. If you can put your mind to it, absolutely anything is available to you. I'm NOT trying to say it will be easy, but it's possible. I would recommend that you search for the good. No, not the good in the situation because you know what? There isn't much. But, seek for something that is worth getting excited about! Something you can look forward to, count down the days if you want! It will put your mind off the current situation.

These don't have to be extravagant things like a vacation or anything like that, though that certainly would be something to look forward to!! Instead make it meeting up with a good friend, going out for a nice dinner or a movie, going shopping and treating yourself to a new shirt! They can be on a small scale, but those can be just as exciting!

My current goals to keep in mind: Heading back to school and getting a good start on the semester, meeting up with a very good friend in about a month, starting Weight Watchers.

YES you can have more than one! That's what I'm saying :) Make it what you want it to be. Also, feel free to plan ahead ; ) Make those goals to look forward to long range, if you want or if that helps. I already have something to look forward to in October!!

It's important to take time for yourself. Everything cannot be about everyone else, I've come to realize. Sometimes it's just a matter of trying to figure out how to do so. Don't get bogged down by others expectations. If you are working, you are working for you, to have that money, to form those relationships. If you are going to school, you are there for you, first and foremost to gain the knowledge to excel in whatever area you want to study, but also to try and gain friendships too. If you have to clean the house because someone told you to, apply it to yourself! You're vacuuming because it's fun to get to relax and listen to music on your iPod while you're doing it :)

You have to try, that's part of it. Don't give up, keep your chin up!!

Make each day worthwhile because it's your day to have. Then when the sun goes down, you can rest easy in preparation for the next day.

Tomorrow's a new day, so let's live this one with no regrets!
