Gift from a Friend

Happy Friday to everyone!!! YAY! The weekend's finally here : )

A few posts back, a very dear friend to me left a poem in the comment section that I really wanted to post today. It just feels so appropriate. Thank you SO much, Mum, for leaving that for me ; )

Smiling is infectious

You catch it like the flu

When someone smiled at me today

I started smiling too

I walked around the corner

And someone saw me grin

When he smiled I realised

I had passed it on to him

I thought about the smile

And then realised its worth

A single smile like mine

Could travel round the earth

So if you feel a smile begin

Don't leave it undetected

Start an epidemic

And get the world infected.

Keep smiling and have a happy Friday!

Finding ME Time

Hey! It's been a while, my bad sorry : ) I started back at school this week and things have been a little busy.

I wanted to mention that you need to have ME time. You need to try and do something each and every single day that is simply for you. It could be as simple as finding 10 minutes to read in your book,, watching your favorite songs on Youtube, painting your nails, anything! each day find that time and enjoy it, let yourself relax and enjoy YOU being : )

Today I found some ME time and honestly loved every single moment of it! You need to try it, all the cool kids are doing it ; ) LOL!

Happy moment of the day: There were a few today!! But I'm going to go with getting THE BEST voicemail from a dear, dear friend. I can't even tell you how much it meant to me : )

Positive about me: I'm a fighter. I'm not giving up. There may be incredibly lower than low days, being stuck in the darkest of corners, but as long as you don't give up that's okay. I feel as if I'm slowly climbing out of this hole and pray I don't end up back at the bottom : ) It will may be slow but it will be worth the wait! And I wish the same to anyone who may be reading these rambling posts. You are strong too!!

And here's the url if ya need it: Love is a Battlefield

Now go conquer your mountain and make today count!

Find Your Escape

If you can't escape those bad feelings, find some way to escape. For me it's books and music. When I'm listening to my music, though, I like to find relatable songs to my mood usually. Here's one of my favorites, though if you listen to the's depressing lol. I absolutely love singing Idina Menzel's part in this though, it brings such a calm over me. Enjoy.

Here's the url if you need it (this version you can see the song as filmed in the episode): I Dreamed a Dream

Positive Thoughts #2

My smile can brighten a room....or so I'm told.

It's one of those days that I really do need to be thinking of these positive thoughts. I can't be hard on myself. I need to try to be more carefree and not worry about other people. I have good things and bad, but do NOT focus on the bad. Tomorrow you get to belt Glee songs in the car and talk to a tremendous friend. What could be better than that!? Find the the good....stick with those positive thoughts.

My smile can brighten a room. I think I'll try it out tomorrow.

Search for the Good

Everyone has those days that are simply terrible. You know what I mean. You just can't seem to feel happy, you are simply trying to stay afloat. You feel alone, isolated, and honestly just don't want to do anything! Lol.

But I'm here to say that you can dig yourself out of that hole if you want to. If you can put your mind to it, absolutely anything is available to you. I'm NOT trying to say it will be easy, but it's possible. I would recommend that you search for the good. No, not the good in the situation because you know what? There isn't much. But, seek for something that is worth getting excited about! Something you can look forward to, count down the days if you want! It will put your mind off the current situation.

These don't have to be extravagant things like a vacation or anything like that, though that certainly would be something to look forward to!! Instead make it meeting up with a good friend, going out for a nice dinner or a movie, going shopping and treating yourself to a new shirt! They can be on a small scale, but those can be just as exciting!

My current goals to keep in mind: Heading back to school and getting a good start on the semester, meeting up with a very good friend in about a month, starting Weight Watchers.

YES you can have more than one! That's what I'm saying :) Make it what you want it to be. Also, feel free to plan ahead ; ) Make those goals to look forward to long range, if you want or if that helps. I already have something to look forward to in October!!

It's important to take time for yourself. Everything cannot be about everyone else, I've come to realize. Sometimes it's just a matter of trying to figure out how to do so. Don't get bogged down by others expectations. If you are working, you are working for you, to have that money, to form those relationships. If you are going to school, you are there for you, first and foremost to gain the knowledge to excel in whatever area you want to study, but also to try and gain friendships too. If you have to clean the house because someone told you to, apply it to yourself! You're vacuuming because it's fun to get to relax and listen to music on your iPod while you're doing it :)

You have to try, that's part of it. Don't give up, keep your chin up!!

Here's the url if you need it:

Make each day worthwhile because it's your day to have. Then when the sun goes down, you can rest easy in preparation for the next day.

Tomorrow's a new day, so let's live this one with no regrets!

Just Smile

Smiling can help! All you've got to do is smile for one person to see, they'll pass it on. Smiling can also just help you. When you smile, you'll want to be happy! Lol....listen to the lyrics in this song:

Hope you keep on smiling today!!

For Me

I wanted to create this blog to document my journey to personal happiness. I want to be happy again! I think that writing out the stresses and joys, the good times and the bad might help me. I do have another blog, as many of you probably know already, but I wanted to keep this seperate from that one. This blog is for me. If you want to follow, my friends, please do so. I'd love the support and to have you come along with me!

My goal is to post at once a day with something positive about myself. However, with school and other things, it might not quite happen as planned, eh!? So, I will do it as faithfully as I can. This is hopefully going to become a no negative area, which includes myself! But we all have those days, so I make no promises. I am also going to put up positive quotes, songs, things that might put a smile on your face : )

So! Everyone ready!? Here we go folks, it might be a bumpy ride!!

I am good at putting a smile on someone's face.

See you tomorrow : ) Good night, world.
